Balearic Park Forecast: Snow and (Kona) Ice

Snow and Santa and his sleigh (complete with reindeer) will descend on Costa Mesa's Balearic Community Park on Saturday morning.

Costa Mesa's Balearic Community Park will be blanketed by 40 tons of snow on Saturday, Dec. 8.

Adding to the "winter wonderland" atmosphere during the annual Snow Land event, which is from 9 a.m. to noon, will be Santa and a sleigh pulled by reindeer.

There will also be games and other activities, as well as food and beverages—including those from a Kona Ice Truck—for sale, with proceeds going to schools in Costa Mesa.
