CdM's Ryan Park Starting to Annoy the Other Guys on 'The Bachelorette'

Our bachelor, CdM Ryan, is not making any new friends back at the mansion. Although he seems to play well with others—"I never have a problem with guys," he said—his charm, good looks and constant "stealing Ashley away for alone time" are irking to the rest of the bachelors. 

It was time for a fresh start for Ashley Hebert, who had a tough week last week with Bentley leaving (a guy who we all know was a sham, but for whom she was head over heels). This week, Ashley and her guys moved the entire show to Thailand to finish what was started in Los Angeles. 

Phuket, Thailand was the backdrop for this week's episode. The bachelors all freaked out with excitement when host Chris Harrison made the announcement. There must have been 50 "woo hoos" in the room. Guys excited about going to Thailand? Shocking!

"When Chris Harrison said we were going to Thailand, my heart beat through my chest," said CdM Ryan. 

Ryan tells the other bachelors, "Oh I hope my one-on-one date is the best."

There were three dates this week. Two one-on-ones and one group date. 

Ashley was doing her best to get over Bentley and move on. "In order for me to love, I need to let go and enjoy it," Ashley said. 

First Date with Constantine

Ashley's one-on-one date with restaurant owner Constantine was supposed to be a boat ride out to sea, but had a change of plans since it was raining. They went into town and enjoyed the vibrancy of the city. An old shop owner gave them good advice for long lasting love: "Forgive and forget, don't try to win." The date ended with dinner on the beach and a rose for Constantine. 

Group Date with Heart

It was time for the guys to divert their attention from Ashley to a group of deserving children who needed their orphanage made over.  CdM Ryan was chosen for the group date, he flashed two peace signs when his name was called. Is that a gang I don't know about in Corona del Mar? Other bachelors chosen included Ben C, Wes, Lucas, Ben F, William, Mickey, Nick and Blake. The guys painted and decorated the Baan San Orphanage and greeted them with new bikes, soccer balls, and soccer nets. Ben F. even drew murals on the walls of elephants. 

Although the bachelors were all contributing their muscles for a good cause, there was tension. "The nature of this beast is we're all going after the same piece of fruit," said Blake, the dentist. 

At the orphanage there was lots of work to be done and CdM Ryan made sure it was taken care of. He was telling guys to unload the plants from the truck and paint the edges.

"Everyone had the mindset to get work done If anyone was here today that is going to try and make themselves visible, it will be Ryan," said Mickey the chef. 

CdM Ryan tells Ben F. to put plastic down so the paint won't get on the floor.

"There are times when my Ryan meter reaches a max and I just....Aaah! It's too much. It's always on and it's kinda much," said Ben F, the winemaker. 

I'm sure the Bachelorette editors made CdM Ryan look bossy. After all he owns his own solar paneling company so he knows how to get the job done. "I think Ryan does well in his business. He's over a few people, but we're all leaders. He needs to back off a little bit," said Lucas, oil distributor. 

The Group Date Rose

Upon arrival at the Group Date Reception CdM Ryan says to Ashley, "Damn! Nice outfit." He tells the cameras, "We come into this really cool bar, sand on her feet, beautiful girl. But on top of the beauty she's just freakin' rad." Rad is my favorite slang term from the 80s. 

The guys all wanted to alone time before the group rose was handed out so she was being pulled from all ends like a piece of taffy. Ashley took Ben F. to the side and gave him many little kisses. 

Ryan then pulls Ashley aside to have an intimate conversation.

Ryan: What are some things you're looking for?

Ashley: I want someone who makes me want to flirt with them. I want that physicalness. 

Ryan: Yeah, I know. It's important. I feel for you. I think you're beautiful, but it's really about what's inside and that connection. 

He touches her leg. 

Ashley: And we have it. 

Ryan: You're absolutely right. 

"I think the reason the guys feel irritated with Ryan, it's an intimidation factor. He's a clear shot of someone who's gonna be in the top four." said William, cellphone salesman. Top four? What is this American Idol?

J.P. swept Ashley away to the beach under a tree in the rain. "Kissing J.P. is magical. The best kisses I've had here by far. J.P. is one sexy man," said Ashley. 

Did you hear that Ryan? Pucker up. 

"When J.P. is carrying her back in front of the guys it's making a statement. Definitely jealously is floating around. It's gonna get interesting, no doubt," said CdM Ryan. 

As Ashley sits down and is about to give the group rose out, CdM Ryan steals her again. Blake, the dentist, sarcastically coins him "Mr. Wonderful."

"He's just a big kid. He's a goober," said Lucas, oil distributor. 

Ryan takes Ashley away from the rest of the bachelors onto the beach. "I just wanted to say I look forward to having more conversations with you. I look forward to seeing you soon," said CdM Ryan. They hug. 

Okay Ryan, seriously? I love you. You're hot, adorable, cute, have a job and live in Corona del Mar, but that was desperate. You obviously have this rose deal sealed. 

Ryan's last attempt did not work on Ashley. Ben F, the winemaker gets the group date rose. 

"I think if I had gotten a rose this evening, it would cause some friction in the house and I feel that Ashley and I have a strong enough connection, so I can sleep okay," said CdM Ryan. 

One on One date with Ames

On a romantic kayaking trip to the caves of Thailand, Ashley was able to connect with Ames on another level. Although there were no kisses, the date ended with dinner on the beach and an intimate conversation about the future and family. Ames got a rose. 

The Rose Ceremony

This was the last chance for the guys to get their last moments in with Ashley, but the real conversation was about Ryan. "Most of the guys in the house don't like Ryan. He just has some personality quirks that make you not want to hang out with him, it's like he's eight years old," said Blake, the dentist. 

Mean Boys! I'll hang out with you Ryan and I will paint the edges. 

"It's ridiculous, it's preposterous. What? You can't hang with the fact that I'm frickin' happy a lot. I'm sorry I'm not grumpy. I guess I should be grumpy, my bad," said CdM Ryan. 

Before the rose ceremony Ashley and Ryan sit down again. 

Ashley: You're so happy all the time.

Ryan: Yeah, I'm happy a lot. I bring so much enthusiasm. I'm bursting with a lot of love in my chest.

Ashley: This is the real you?

Ryan: Yeah, and these guys just can't understand it. Life is a gift, it can go at any moment. I hope we can spend more time together and explore this further.

Ashley is smitten with Ryan and tells the cameras, "I love the fact that Ryan P. has so much positive energy. He's really smart, so successful, has his act together and I know he could bring out the best in me," said Ashley. 

Going Home

Ashley tells host Chris Harrison that she doesn't want to make any mistakes or have any regrets so she wants to break the rules and only send one bachelor home tonight. And that bachelor is Wes, whose wife passed three years earlier and Ashley didn't want to fill her shoes. So Ryan is safe!
