Road crews began work today on a construction project that will affect traffic on 15th Street in Newport Beach.
Today contractors closed 15th Street from Santa Ana to Redlands avenues. The closure will remain in effect through Monday, Aug. 20. City officials say the road will be closed in both directions to make way for the paving operations that is part of the city's 15th Street Road Rehabilitation project.
