5 Things You Need to Know Today: March 3

Restaurant Week, a badminton tournament and a cloudy day.

1. Looking for job-hunting tips? On Fridays, beginning tomorrow, March 4, from 8 to 9 a.m., the OASIS Senior Job Club will meet to assist job seekers. The group will meet weekly to share information and experiences of the job market. The group will meet in room 3, reservations are not required.

2. Orange County Restaurant Week is under way and runs through tomorrow, March 5. Several Newport Beach and Corona del Mar eateries are among the 100 participating restaurants. Don't miss out!

3. Reservations are still being accepted for the Corona del Mar Middle School Mother/Son Badminton Tournament. The event will be held Friday, March 11, at 6:30 p.m. at the CDM gym. Tickets are $12 per person and include a pasta dinner and prizes. RSVP to Deborah Schwartz via e-mail, at dschwartz01@roadrunner.com. The deadline has been extended to March 5.

4. Don't forget! On Friday, March 4, at noon, the city will conduct the Outdoor Emergency Notification System test. For more details read our story here.
