Bold Girlz Retail Space Becomes Party Place Showcasing Young Fashionistas

Costa Mesa, CA ,September 30, 2013 – Bold Girlz, a lifestyle apparel and accessories brand for young girls attributes the doubling in sales over the past year to their incorporation of fashion birthday parties, fashion camps and the showcasing of young artists during their quarterly ‘Girl Jams.’  Owner, Cheryl Beck launched her online brand in 2011, then moved into a 1200 s.f. retail space in Costa Mesa’s, Westport Plaza in February, 2012.  Since then, she has built a runway stage in the middle of store, along with a back party room where girls can get their hair and make-up done by stylists before they make their way down the runway.  According to Beck, “The themed fashionista parties have been a big hit with moms looking for something unique to celebrate the most important day of the year, their daughter’s birthday.”  Parties are offered weekdays after school at a discounted rate, and weekends maintain full party pricing, with three time slots available both on Saturday and Sunday. The business decision to create fashion camps, incorporating fashion design, pattern making and sewing, “Came from the moms themselves,” says Beck, suggesting to the owner that she offer additional options to their daughters who enjoyed spending time inside the store.

In addition to fashion shows and fashion camps, music has been a large part of the Bold Girlz retail success. Quarterly, ‘Girl Jams’ spotlighting rising teen artists have been a huge hit with the customers and families.  Former birthday girls are invited to participate as a ‘model’ during the quarterly fashion show, where they rock the runway in the latest Bold Girlz’ fashions while having the opportunity to meet and greet with the performing artists.  Bold Girlz has welcomed youth artists such as, Gavyn Bailey, (Indie Acoustic Singer/Songwriter), False Puppet, (Rock/Punk Band from the Vans Warped Tour), Adana Duru, (Pop Singer from the Voice), and Sidney Bowen, (Singer/Songwriter).  Beck shares, “Showcasing new talent on our runway inspires our Bold Girlz customer to be Brave, Original, Loving and Daring – the acronym that describes B.O.L.D. in our name.”

On Friday, October 4th, 2013, at 7PM, the ‘Lucki Gurlz,’ an all-girl teen pop group from New York will perform on the runway during the Bold Girlz, ‘Fall Fashion Show and Girl Jam 2013.’  There will be prizes, snacks and an opportunity to be photographed on the red carpet after the show.  The show will feature local fashionistas on the runway showcasing the latest in fall fashion from Bold Girlz.  Free admission, RSVP to RSVP@BoldGirlz.com.
