Pelican Hill Rated World's Top Golf Resort

The golf resort achieved a perfect score in the category of course design and access.

The golf course at Newport Beach's Pelican Hill Resort was recently applauded for its commitment to protecting the enivornment, now the Irvine Co. property has been named the best golf resort in the world.

The readers of Condé Nast Traveler—a luxury travel magazine—ranked the golf resort as the best in its April 2012 issue. The “Top 121 Golf Resorts” list ranks golf resorts from around the world based on ratings in eight specific categories. Pelican Hill is the only California golf resort to achieve a perfect score in the category of course design and access and surpassed all California Golf Resorts in five of eight categories, including rooms, food/dining, overall design and activities/facilities. The resort's overall score was a 96.6.

“We are deeply honored by this re-affirming feedback from our guests across the world, who have visited and voted based on the experiences and memories they have created here in this idyllic destination along the coast of Newport Beach,” Ralph Grippo, president of the Irvine Company Resort Properties, said in a released statement.
