The Resort at Pelican Hill Earns Prestigious Rating

The lodging receives the 2012 Five Diamond Award.

For the third year in a row, Newport Beach's Pelican Hill Resort has been recognized as a AAA Five Diamond destination, a company official announced.

AAA evaluates about 58,000 properties annually in categories such as cleanliness, condition, staff and guest services. Properties are ranked on a scale of one to five diamonds. About one quarter of 1 percent of those evaluated earn the Five Diamond distinction.

“As our third anniversary approaches later this fall, the entire Pelican Hill team is honored to be recognized with the AAA Five Diamond Award for the third time,” said Giuseppe Lama, the resort's managing director. “We are pleased to uphold the highest hospitality standards and deliver unprecedented guest experiences, as one of the world’s top destinations for luxury, value and service, as well as the finest dining, golf, spa and recreational amenities.”
