Save the Date: Christmas Tree Lighting at Fashion Island
The 90-foot pine will be plugged in next weekend. Santa and Disney characters will be on hand.
Fashion Island is gearing up to kick off the holidays with its annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony.
Two events are scheduled at 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday in the Neiman Marcus-Bloomingdale's Courtyard. On Friday, Mickey Mouse and some other Disney favorites will treat visitors to performances that culminate in the lighting of the 90-foot Christmas tree. Orange County’s Musical Theatre University will entertain visitors before the Disney performance on Friday night, and will take center stage as the featured performance on Saturday.
On Friday, children can also meet with Santa Claus and take photos. Santa Claus will be at Fashion Island at his house on Atrium Lawn through Dec. 24.
