Rodents Close Newport 7-Eleven

A recent inspection by the health department revealed a rodent infestation at a 7-Eleven in Newport Beach.

During a routine inspection on Monday, health department officials cited the 7-Eleven located at 1495 Superior Avenue with one major health violation and seven minor health violations. According to the health inspection report, officials found at least 20 rodent droppings in the food storage room, on the floor, along the wall, beneath the storage shelves, soda syrup boxes and pressurized cylinders.

Health inspectors are requiring the owner to eliminate the rodent infestation before the health permit is reinstated.
