Pelican Hill Resort Voted Top SoCal Resort

For the third year in a row, Newport Beach's Resort at Pelican Hill lands at the top of the 2012 Readers' Choice Awards by Condé Nast Traveler as the top resort in Southern California.

The Resort at Pelican Hill in Newport Beach has been named the best resort in Southern California for the third year in a row, a company official announced Tuesday.

In its November 2012 issue the readers of Condé Nast Traveler—a luxury travel magazine—ranked Pelican Hill as the top Southern California resort with a score of 96.1.

“We are delighted to be the first and only Southern California resort to earn three consecutive top honors, including a top national ranking, from Condé Nast Traveler readers, who are certainly among the world’s most discerning travelers,” Giuseppe Lama, the resort's managing director, said. “We opened nearly four years ago with a clear, long-term vision focused on a timeless luxury resort along the coast of Newport Beach.”
