Newport Chamber Names New President

Steve Rosansky officially takes the reigns of the Newport Beach Chamber of Commerce.

Since the beginning of the year Steve Rosansky was serving as the interim president and chief executive of the Newport Beach Chamber of Commerce, but his position was recently made official.

Rosansky, who previously served nine years on the Newport Beach City Council, was appointed chamber president and CEO last month, according to a newsletter from the Newport Beach Chamber of Commerce. In the memo, chamber chairman Tim Brown said membership has grown and attendance at chamber events have increased under Rosanky's leadership. Brown added Rosansky has had a "significant impact" on the chamber.

"NBCC signature events like the Police Appreciation Breakfast drew record attendance this spring," Brown said. "Our monthly Government Affairs Committee meeting, now known as "Wake-Up Newport," has been moved to the Friends Room located at the Newport Beach Main Library in order to accommodate the increased interest in our guest speakers."

Rosansky takes the place of Richard Luehrs, who was the chamber president for more than 30 years before retiring at the end of January.
