Metrolink Cancels Orange County Trains Dec. 10-11

Track construction is behind the interruption in service.

If riding the train was in your weekend travel plans, it's time to come up with an alternate route.

All Metrolink trains in Orange County and the Inland Empire are cancelled today and Dec. 11, because of track construction. In addition, Amtrak's regular schedule has also been affected, passengers are encouraged to check www.amtrak.com for this weekend's scheduling and fare information.

The train cancellations are making way for San Diego Northern Railroad construction crews to work on improving passenger and freight rail services by installing a second main line track and new rail bridges. San Diego trains will not be affected by the construction.

Service is expected to return to normal Monday.
