Island Hotel Kicks-Off Holiday Toy Collection
The community has helped the Island Hotel collect hundreds of gifts for Toys for Tots, but more are needed.
Newport Beach's Island Hotel is in the midst of its 15th annual Toys for Tots Campaign and the community's support is encouraged to help provide local children with a holiday gift.
At its recent Coastal Celebration, the hotel collected more than 350 unwrapped gifts for Toys for Tots, according to Michael Lyster, hotel spokesman. A sleigh will remain in the hotel lobby through Dec. 23 for additional collections.
"Our goal is to collect 1,000 toys and we’re well on our way," Lyster said.

The Island Hotel is located at 690 Newport Center Dr. in Newport Beach.
