Hoag Named Among 'Great Hospitals' in America
Newport Beach's Hoag Hospital is the only Orange County medical center to be listed in Becker's Hospital Review's '100 Great Hospitals in America."
Newport Beach's Hoag Hospital has been named in the annual list of Becker's Hospital Review's '100 Great Hospital in America.'
The list highlights the country's top medical centers, community hospitals, flagship facilities and specialty hospitals which have proven to be innovators for medical treatments, research, technology and care delivery.
“We are thrilled to be named to Becker’s Hospital Review’s ‘100 Great Hospitals in America’ list yet again,” Robert T. Braithwaite, president and chief executive officer of Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian, said in a released statement. “As the only Orange County hospital to be included, we are honored to be both admired as an innovative world-class medical center and recognized for providing the highest quality health care to the community we serve.”

The Becker's Hospital Review compiled the '100 Great Hospitals in America' list after analyzing data from several sources including hospital nominations, the U.S. News & World Report, Truven Health Analytics' 100 Top Hospitals, HealthGrades, Magnet Recognition by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, the Studer Group and the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program.
