GRIT Yoga Stretches into Newport Beach

The sister studio to Costa Mesa's Grit Cycle, the new GRIT Yoga recently opened in Mariner's Mile Shopping Center in Newport Beach.

A new yoga studio in Newport Beach, created to be the "crème de la crème of yoga studios," is now open for business.

Co-founded by resident Marisa Wayne, John Wayne's daughter, and her three partners, GRIT Yoga officially opened its doors Oct. 13 at the Mariner's Mile Shopping Center on Pacific Coast Highway. According to Wayne, the five-star yoga studio will be like the "Four Seasons of yoga" with an "impeccably clean facility" and state-of-the-art finishes.

"Everything from the complimentary mats to the impeccable lighting and sound, GRIT Yoga is going to be the crème de la crème of yoga studios," Wayne said. "In addition to the studio, we have the best, most sought-after instructors in Orange County and the highest "five-star" qualitative classes" across yoga disciplines, from Vinyasa flow to Iyengar."

But GRIT Yoga isn't just focused on yoga and wellness, it also has a strong focus on giving to charity.

"GRIT Yoga is giving back to the local community by donating a portion from every participant’s fee from the weekly classes to a local nonprofit organization," Wayne said.

During Breast Cancer Awareness month, GRIT Yoga donated a portion of its proceeds to the John Wayne Cancer Foundation Breast Cancer Division.

GRIT Yoga is currently offering grand opening specials, for more information visit grityoga.com. The studio said yoga students of all levels, including kids, are welcomed to attend.
