Gas Prices Dip After a Two Week Climb

The average Orange County gas price fell 1 cent Thursday, 9.4 cents less than one year ago.

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County fell 1.1 cents today to $4.05, the second consecutive drop after about two weeks of price run-ups.

The average price is 5.6 cents more than one week ago and 17.5 cents higher than one month ago, but 10.1 cents less than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The Orange County average price fell 1 cent today to $4.024, also the second consecutive drop after a two-week streak of increases.

The Orange County average price is 5 cents more than one week ago and 17.5 cents higher than one month ago but 9.4 cents less than one year ago.
