Frugal Families: An Array of Deals

There are plenty of deals this week in Corona del Mar. There is something for everyone here, and the best advice I can give is to take advantage of them before they are gone. 

 is hosting Wine Wednesday today. Deal: Patrons will receive 50 percent off wines by the glass from 5 to 9 p.m. Musician George Fryar will be entertaining the crowd with acoustic pop rock hits, and the restaurant will be offering its happy hour menu during this time with discounts on assorted appetizers. 

Don't miss ' Parking Lot Party. Deal: This popular event happens the last Sunday of every month and features further discounts on  designer consignment pieces. From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Recycled Rags parking lot, enjoy refreshments and drawings for a $100 gift certificate. The first 25 people to show up to the party receive $5 off the first $25 purchase. 

 Deal: Ace Reward members (Join; it's free!) can enjoy their 20 percent Bag Sale. Stuff anything into a paper bag and receive 20 percent off its contents. This promotion goes on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 25 and 26. Power tools and small appliances are valid for a 10 percent discount only. Only one offer per reward member. 

 Deal: The station is on East Coast Highway and has some great deals this week. Print out its coupon and it will save you 10 percent on any dealer maintenance of 30,000-, 60,000- or 90,000-mile service and transmission service. Also,  oil changes this week are going for $24.95 and smog checks are $34.95 with a free re-test. This offer expires March 8.
