Forbes Gives Pelican Hill Resort Top Rating

The Resort at Pelican Hill  has earned five star ratings by Forbes Travel Guide, formerly Mobil Travel Guide, the resort announced Tuesday.

Pelican Hill is the first and only five-star property in Newport Beach and among just 76 worldwide to earn the top Forbes Five Star Award this year, according to the announcement. Resort officials say Pelican Hill is widely-known for its "world-class amenities, personalized service and endless ocean views."

“It is the passion, dedication and professionalism of our talented staff that has placed Pelican Hill in a class of its own as Newport Beach’s only Five-Star resort and only Five-Star spa,” Giuseppe Lama, the resort's managing director said in a released statement.

The Spa at Pelican Hill was also honored and earned its fourth consecutive Five Star Award this year and maintains its distinction as the only Five-Star spa in Newport Beach, as well as one of just 35 worldwide to earn the top Forbes Travel Guide rating this year.

Since it opened in 2008, the resort has picked up several awards including being recognized as one of the most luxurious resorts in the world and receiving a AAA five diamond award. In its April 2012 issue, the readers of Condé Nast Traveler, a luxury travel magazine, also rated Pelican Hill as the best golf resort in the world.
