PINK Boutique Opens at Fashion Island

The dreary morning didn't dampen the spirits of shoppers lined up to get the first peek inside of the Victoria's Secret PINK store that opened its doors Thursday at Fashion Island. 

The staff sported the PINK signature tees and ushered customers into the store following the pink ribbon cutting ceremony. There were custom PINK balloons at the front entrance and a special delivery from Casey's Cupcakes for the new staff. Once the doors opened, many customers said they wanted to snag the latest PINK limited edition stuffed dog that was being given as a gift with purchase for opening day only. 

"I'm here for the PINK dog," said Brea resident Jess Ramos. "I collect them all and didn't want to miss this one." 

The PINK store at Fashion Island will be having a Grand Opening party on Friday, May 31. Beginning at noon, the first 100 fans will have the opportunity to take their picture with Victoria Secret's Angel model Elsa Hosk and Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim player CJ Wilson.

Customers were treated to colorful displays of sweats and tees, Angel's baseball loungewear, a seven for $26 PINK panty specials and of course the PINK dog. There was a candy station with apothecary jars filled with retro candies for guests to fill paper baggies with and a DJ spun the latest dance mixes at the front of the store.

Company officials said plans are in the works to open new PINK stores in the Westminister Mall and the Shops at Mission Viejo mall later this year. 

Other first-time-in-the-OC boutiques that will be making their appearance at Fashion Island this year include Robert Roller Rabbit, Joie and C.Wonder.
