Christmas Tree Auction to Benefit Needy Kids

AltaMed's eight professionally decorated Christmas trees will be auctioned Sunday at the Island Hotel in Newport Beach. The proceeds will pay for programs at the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County and the Orangewood Foundation.

Eight professionally designed Christmas trees will be auctioned in Newport Beach this weekend to help enlighten the lives of at-risk kids around Orange County.

AltaMed will host the Christmas Tree Magic Fundraiser on Sunday, Dec. 2 at 11 a.m. at The Island Hotel, 690 Newport Center Dr. The trees are expected to be the highlight of the live auction and will generate money for health care, mentoring and shelter programs that serve at-risk youth in Orange County through the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County and the Orangewood Foundation.

Michelle Burton, AltaMed's development director, says the Christmas tree auction is a great way to get into the holiday spirit.
