Canned Food Drive Underway at Curves in CDM

The 14th annual Curves Food Drive will continue to accept donations through Saturday, March 31.

Curves in Corona del Mar is holding its annual food drive to help benefit Orange County's Second Harvest Food Bank.

The 14th annual Curves Food Drive will be collecting non-perishable food items through Saturday, March 31. Donations will be given to the food bank and used to help feed the estimated 35,000 homeless people living in Orange County.

The club is asking community members to donate bags of non-perishable food or cash throughout the month. In addition, Curves will waive the membership fee for new members who bring in a bag of non-perishable food or donate $30.

"Curves is committed to supporting the health and well-being of our members, so the food drive is a natural extension of that commitment to the communities where our clubs are located," Curves founder Diane Heavin said in a released statement. "Many families are struggling with basic expenses and need some help to make ends meet. Our food drive gives our members a way to reach out and support their neighbors."

DROP OFF HOURS: Monday - Thursday 7 a.m. to  1 p.m. and 3 to 7 p.m. Friday at 6 p.m.; Saturday from  8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Curves is located at 2711 E. Coast Highway, Suite 205 in Corona del Mar.
