Blue C Sushi Rolling into Fashion Island

Blue C Sushi's conveyor-belt style sushi will soon open three new locations in California, including Fashion Island in Newport Beach.

It's been popular in Washington since 2003, and soon Newport Beach will get a taste of Blue C Sushi's conveyor-style menu.

Blue C Sushi, according to company officials, is one of the first Kaiten sushi restaurants to provide conveyor-belt-style sushi using high quality ingredients. The Fashion Island location is slated to open at the end of the year near Lemonade and Native Foods. It will be Fashion Island's only Japanese restaurant and sushi concept.

“Blue C Sushi embodies the rattle and hum of modern day Tokyo, while combining Japanese tradition with American inventiveness," Richard Dalton, president of Madison Holdings, owner of Blue C Sushi, said in a released statement. "Concentrating on the ethos of innovation, our thoughtful approach to interactive dining is driven by our relentless pursuit in setting ourselves a part through technology, service culture and our global search for responsibly sourced ingredients."

Other California locations include the Dome Entertainment Center in Hollywood and the Village Walk in Tarzana. The lease deals were secured on behalf of Blue C Sushi by the RKF firm.
