Apartment Complex Refunds Deposits to Longtime Residents

Park Newport Apartments celebrates long-term residents by gifting back original deposits to 90 residents and thousands of dollars in shopping sprees to Fashion Island.

Some residents at Park Newport Apartments, a couple who have lived at the complex since it opened 42 years ago, received special Christmas gifts this holiday season.

To honor their commitment to the apartment complex, many tenants were treated to a special gift last week at a banquet held for long-term residents. Ninety residents received their security deposit refunds, 38 tenants who have lived at the complex between 25 and 39 years were given $500 gift cards and eight received $1,000 gift cards for living at the complex for 40 years or more. Two of the residents have lived at Park Newport since it opened 42 year ago, according to Mark Rogers, apartment manager.

"Residents who have lived here from 10 to 24 years were gifted back their original deposits," Rogers explained. "Those who have lived here for 25 to 42 years were gifted shopping sprees at Fashion Island."
