The days leading up to Christmas are stressful, so take some time off and let someone else be in charge of the food.

Here are some restaurants in Newport Beach open on Christmas Eve and/or Christmas Day.

Bayside Restaurant: Christmas Eve, 5 - 11 p.m. Bayside will be offering Festive Holiday Specials that are sure to please every palate, along with the restaurant’s regular dinner menu. To accompany your dinner, live entertainment by the Mike McKenna Duo will begin at 5:00 p.m.

: Christmas Eve, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The holiday season is perfect for authentic Mexican cuisine in a casual, fun environment. Stop in and try El Ranchito's signature moles and salsa and enjoy some other menu favorites.

Christmas Eve, 11:30 a.m.- 9:15 p.m. If you're in the mood for seafood, steak, pasta and a lovely harbor view, the Rusty Pelican has it all. Enjoy a nice meal in the restaurant's main dining area then head upstairs for a holiday cocktail in the casual bar area.

Christmas Eve 4-11 p.m., Christmas Day noon - 10 p.m. The restaurant offers a traditional Japanese hibachi steak house, you can also enjoy tender slices of meat, seafood and vegetables expertly cut and cooked on a large frying grill by a performing chef. The restaurant also features sashimi, hand rolls, specialty rolls and sushi entrees.

Christmas Eve, 11:30 a.m. - 10 p.m. Looking for a romantic place to spend the night before Christmas? Canaletto offers Northeastern Italian cuisine and serves meals made from scratch including Risotto, pasta and pizzas.

Christmas Eve, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Stop in to this casual restaurant for a great burger and drinks. A customer favorite is the Bleunami. It comes highly recommended--if you like bleu cheese. It also offers soups, salads, smoothies and great mixed drinks.
