NEWPORT BEACH, CA - (July 12, 2012) ~ The Balboa Bay Club & Resort is pleased to announce a series of five “Friday Night Summer Concerts” that are open to the public. The Concerts will be performed on the lawn overlooking the bay at The Resort. Dinner is also an option prior to each concert. Concert tickets are $25 each for the public, and are $20 each for Balboa Bay Club members. (Note: Exclusive of Mariachi concert whereby all tickets are $25 each.) All tickets are non-refundable.
The Concerts will be held on the Member Lawn. Dinner will begin at 5:30pm and each Concert will begin at 6:30pm. Seating is first come, first serve, so please arrive early.

Before flower power, the Grateful Dead and the Jefferson Airplane, it meant harmonic vocals, a melding of acoustic and electric guitars, folk music, rock and a bit of jazz. In the mid-60's, it was called folk-rock, and it described the music of We Five. Paving the way for bands like The Mama's and The Papa's, The Turtles and the Association, We Five’s classic hit recording of You Were On My Mind, topped the pop charts and was Billboard’s # 4 song of 1965 (behind Satisfaction). Along with their other hits like Get Together, and the vocal version of Cast Your Fate To The Wind, it opened the door to appearances on major TV shows like Shindig, Hullabaloo, The Hollywood Palace-- and Dick Clark’s classic beach party, Where The Action Is.

Join KRTH 101 Legend Brian Beirne, “Mr. Rock N’ Roll”, as he presents The Four Preps in another dynamic show. Enjoy The Preps' timeless harmonies which amassed 8 Gold singles and 3 Gold albums, including the Million Selling records “26 Miles”, “Big Man”, and “Gidget”. The group showcases original lead singer, Bruce Belland with an evening of your favorite Oldies including: “Sh-Boom”, “Unchained Melody” and many more. Beach Boys live, in concert--- and in their prime. The incomparable harmonies, the crashing back beat of Dennis Wilson’s drums, the surf guitar of Carl Wilson, and the genius of Brian Wilson’s music are all here. “Surfin’ Safari” is nothing short of a great show, a great evening.

Jose Hernandez is the Nation’s Premier Mariachi King! Join us as he returns to The Balboa Bay Club this summer with his Grammy Award nominated performance by “Mariachi Sol de Mexico”. All of your South of the border favorites will be served at our delicious Mexican Buffet Dinner on the beach. Everything you would expect at such a colorful Mexican style celebration. A Mexican Buffet Dinner available for separate purchase. $23.50 for adults, $17.50 for children 12 and under, plus tax and gratuity.

Dinner begins at 5:30 pm – A “no host bar” featuring full cocktail service will be available.
Enjoy a casual a la carte dinner buffet featuring summertime BBQ favorites including; Hamburgers, Turkey Burgers, Hot Dogs, Bratwurst and Grilled Chicken Breast Sandwiches with all the accompaniments; Famous BBC Chili, French Fries & Chili Cheese Fries, Corn on the Cob, Freshly Baked Cookies, and a selection of Ice Cream Desserts.

7-days a week. Non-refundable tickets are $25 each. Tickets are charged to your credit card at time of purchase. Outdoor seating is assigned at round tables of 8-10 people. Seating is based on a first come first served basis. If you would like to be seated with friends or others attending, or if you have a disability, please indicate at time of reservation. No physical tickets will be mailed. A confirmation number will be issued and a reservation confirmation will be emailed to the address you provide at time of reservation. A credit card receipt will be available upon request at entrance to the event. Valet parking and self parking are both available for a nominal charge.
