Two Men, One Rose ... Did CdM's Ryan Park Make the Cut on 'The Bachelorette'?

The "Bachelorette" crew spends more time in Thailand. The memory of Bentley remains.

It was a tense night for our Bachelor, Corona del Mar's Ryan Park, as he was left sweating it out at the Rose Ceremony with fellow Bachelor Nick Peterson. Ashley Hebert held the final rose with only two bachelors left. Ryan adjusted his collar. He closed his eyes as Ashley looked down at the rose.

And then ...

First, let's recap what happened at the beginning.

Episode 5 of Season 7 of ABC's The Bachelorette started off with the Bachelors settling in at a private villa at the Mandarin Oriental hotel in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Ryan flashed the Hang Loose sign—you know it, thumb and pinky sticking out with the other three fingers tucked into the palm—on his way to the hotel. Thanks for representing Corona del Mar, Ryan!

Host Chris Harrison laid out the plan for the boys. There will be three dates: a single one-on-one date, a group date and a two-on-one date. The two-on-one is the dreaded date where two guys go on the same date with Ashley and one bachelor gets a rose and the other goes back home on the plane immediately.

"I haven't been on a one-on-one date yet. I got the First Impression Rose. I've been patient. Come on, it's time," CdM Ryan Ryan.

He's becoming the Susan Lucci of one-on-one dates. Passed over again.

One-on-One Date

Ben F., the winemaker from Sonoma, and Ashley spent their day soaking up the local culture and cuisine of Chiang Mai. They stopped by a sacred temple where kissing is prohibited. So they just stared at each other for a while and "mental kissed." Oh! So that's how you avoid mono. The night ended perfectly with an outdoor, candlelight dinner.

"This could be the beginning of a very happy ending for me," Ashley said.

Group Date

CdM Ryan was chosen with seven other bachelors to get their testosterone on. Ashley thought it would be a good idea to teach the guys Thai boxing with some of Thailand's top trainers.

"This is a once in a lifetime experience that I'll never forget," said CdM Ryan.

This segment was the most exciting of the episode as the bachelors went shirtless and sweated and kicked and punched and did push ups with men sitting on their backs.

After training the guys were put in the boxing ring with each other to show off their moves. CdM Ryan was paired with Ames who laughed nervously, "I've never been in a fight in my entire life."

Good for Ryan, as he was able to throw a couple of punches to Ames' head.

"It was testosterone at its finest. You couldn't make a more intense environment," Ryan said.

Ryan was declared champ of that match. Ames felt dizzy and disorientated immediately after the match.

"I kinda checked in on Ames, and something was not right," said CdM Ryan.

Ames was hauled away in an ambulance. Unfortunately, he was wearing pink boxing shorts and pink gloves.

The Group Date Rose

There was a dark cloud over the group date reception. Ashley could not stop thinking about Ames and was wondering if he was going to show up to the reception. Ryan felt bad for sending Ames to the emergency room, but still had his eyes on the prize: "What I would give to have that rose. With each step she's taking, I want her more and more."

Ryan: What a day. I mean, out there battling.

Ashley: Your'e awesome.

Ryan: I wouldn't classify myself as awesome.

Ashley: You have a bruise on your eye. Oh my God!

Ryan wins the boxing match, gets a bruise and is awesome. He has to get the group date rose, right? Not this time. Again, Ryan is left rose-less. Blake, the dentist gets the group date rose instead.

Thunder Dome Date

Two men enter and only one man leaves with a rose. Ben C., the lawyer from New Orleans, and William, the cell phone salesman from Ohio, took a mini adventure with Ashley at the Elephant Experience, a raft ride down the river where elephants roam freely.

William must have forgotten that he was on The Bachelorette because he pulled a Survivor game strategy by telling Ashley that Ben C. isn't that interested in her and can't wait to go home to start online dating. Ashley immediately confronts Ben C. who didn't even defend himself and was sent home immediately. Ashley isn't wasting anytime or roses.

The date ended with a short dinner with Ashley and William. Ashley abruptly said that she no long feels a spark for William like she did in Las Vegas. Could it be because William told Ashley, "I feel like a 30-year-old boy. I still want to act like a kid. I still got a lot to do."

Ugh, just like my last two boyfriends. Man-child! At least Ashley caught it right away and sent William home forever. Unfortunately, William didn't take it so well: "I have a feeling of being a loser. I leave here and go back to nothing. I don't deserve anything. I just want to go to bed and never wake up."

Just try online dating like Ben C. There's a whole catalog of girls to choose from, even some that want to date a man-child.

Last Chance at a Rose

Ashley gives a talk to the boys. She wants them to be honest with her and not to waste her time or theirs. CdM Ryan pulls her to the side and opens his heart.

"I just wanna say, when I met you it was like a rocket ship. We haven't even had a one-on-one date yet," said Ryan. "I'm looking forward to what's ahead."

"I'm happy with where we're at," Ashley said.

Of course, Ashley keeps talking throughout the episode how much she still thinks of Bentley and how she needs closure: "If I don't get closure with Bentley, I'm afraid I'll never find love here."

Wake up Ashley! Bentley ain't the one. You could find ten guys at who are more genuine them him.

Back to the Rose Ceremony

Constantine, Lucas, J.P., Ames, Mickey, all accept roses from Ashley. With just Nick and Ryan standing and only one rose left, Ashley kept the bachelors and the audience waiting in suspense.

Finally: "Ryan will you accept this rose."

A sigh, then a smile from Ryan: "Yes, absolutely," said CdM Ryan.

Phew! That was close. Bye Bye Nick. It was nice knowing you ... and your eight pack abs.

Stay Tuned for Next Week

Ashley and her men head to Hong Kong, where Bentley surprises Ashley. No surprise, his room number is 4315, which adds up to unlucky 13. Ashley is so happy to see him, but the other bachelors are upset and some even want to leave, turning on her for lying to them about her feelings for Bentley.

It's about to get real, watch out Ryan!
