Rain Storm May 'Take Aim' at Thanksgiving

There's a 50 percent chance of rain on Thursday in Orange County.

A low pressure system may "take aim" at Orange County on Thanksgiving.

National Weather Service forecasters predict a chilly, and possibly wet Thanksgiving in Newport Beach. Until then, however, expect dry and cool weather with highs in the upper 60s and lows in the mid to upper 40s, the Weather Service said.

"Southern California may once again see more wet weather for the holiday, or the brunt of [the storm] may go to our south," Weather Service meteorologists said. "For now, the threat of unsettled and cooler weather remains."

Today will be the warmest day of the week with a daytime temperature of 66 degrees.

There's a 50 percent chance of rain Thursday in Orange County, then a high pressure system will bring fair and warmer weather, and possibly light wind, to OC on Friday through the weekend, Weather Service meteorologists said.
