OCTA Offers Free New Year's Eve Bus Rides

Don't risk a wreck or DUI charge on New Year's Eve.

Are you planning on celebrating the New Year with alcohol? Holiday DUI patrols are stepping up -- a powerful disincentive against driving yourself around to bars and parties, aside from the inherent danger to yourself and others.

Wiser would be to take advantage of the Orange County Transportation Authority's free bus rides between 6 p.m. on New Year’s Eve and 2:30 a.m. on New Year’s Day.

“We are pleased to once again give residents a convenient way to travel this New Year’s Eve,” said OCTA Vice Chairman Gregory Winterbottom in a release. “We encourage those out celebrating to leave the driving to OCTA and enjoy a free ride on the bus.”
