New Survivor Cast Includes Newport Martial Arts Instructor

Yung "Woo" Hwang of Newport Beach was among six castaways assigned to the Brawn Tribe.

A professional poker player from Santa Monica and a martial arts instructor from Newport Beach will be among the 18 castaways for the 28th season of "Survivor," CBS announced today.

The season, which will begin with a two-hour episode Feb. 26, will be themed "Brawn vs. Brains Vs. Beauty."

Yung "Woo" Hwang of Newport Beach was among six castaways assigned to the Brawn Tribe, along with Cliff Robinson, who played 18 seasons in the NBA.

"I possess that special quality in myself and that quality is my discipline and dedication to martial arts," the 29-year-old Hwang said. "I just want to see who I am when I have nothing."

Garrett Adelstein of Santa Monica will be part of the Brains Tribe, along with David Samson, president of the Miami Marlins baseball team.
