More Volunteers Needed to Help Count Bikes

As part of the city's Bicycle Master Plan, city officials work to track bike usage throughout the city with the help of volunteers.

Volunteers are still needed to help city staff conduct "critical" bicycle counts in Newport Beach.

The bicycle counting is being done as part of Newport Beach 's Bicycle Master Plan and being used to track bicycle usage throughout the city, according to Brad Sommers, the city's senior civil engineer.

"Unfortunately, we’re short on volunteers to perform the counts," Sommers said in an email. "If you have time to help with this critical task, please let me know ASAP."
