Bullying has far surpassed the traditional trash-cannings and wedgies. How to you keep your kids safe on the web?

As long as long as there have been people, it's safe to assume, there have been bullies ... especially in schools.

But bullying has far surpassed the traditional trash-cannings, wedgies, purple nurples and general hectoring (though many schoolyard bullies likely still retain these tried-and-true methods of harassment in their repertoires). These days, bullies are able to transcend time and distance and strike their prey electronically through various social media platforms.

Is cyberbullying an issue in your house? Is your child the bullied, or, possibly, the bully ... or a Facebook friend of either the two? Wherever your child is on the spectrum, how do you handle cyberbullying.
