Grandparents' Rights Documentary Showing in CDM

Newport Beach Mayor Nancy Gardner will be one of the speakers at the event Sunday at the OASIS Senior Center in Corona del Mar.

A documentary created to shine a light on grandparents who struggle to have access to their grandchildren will be shown to the community this weekend in Corona del Mar.

The premiere of A Precious Bond will be held Sunday at the OASIS Senior Center and hosted by the nonprofit Advocates for Grandparent-Grandchild Connection -- an organization dedicated to helping grandparents preserve the bond they have with their grandchildren. Newport Beach Mayor Nancy Gardner will be in attendance at the event which includes lunch by Plums Cafe, a preview of the not yet released documentary and a silent auction.

Last year the AFGGC which raised just over $4,000, which was used to provide continued support and educational services to disenfranchised grandparents.
