Film Festival Needs Volunteers

Volunteer opportunities are available at the 14th annual Newport Beach Film Festival which runs April 25 - May 2.

The 14th annual Newport Beach Film Festival will soon bring more glitz and glamour to Newport Beach and volunteers are needed to make sure it's a success.

This year the Newport Beach Film Festival will run from April 25 to May 2, bringing more than 350 films from 50 countries to the screen, plus premiere parties and galas. The films include "Broadway Idiot" on opening night which follows the band members of the famous punk band, Green Day, as they see their original songs from the album “American Idiot” transformed into a Broadway production. "What Maisie Knew" which documents a little girl’s struggle for grace in the midst of her parents’ bitter custody battle, and "The O'Brien's," a film about an Irish father who calls his children home two years after his wife died.

More than 50,000 movie lovers are expected to attend the Newport Beach Film Festival, and many volunteers are needed to help in a variety of avenues.
