Discounted TB Tests Offered at Eastbluff Medical

Eastbluff Medical in Newport Beach is trying to help save the community money by offering $5 TB tests.

Officials say the service is being offered to show the clinic's commitment to lowering health care costs in the community and is an almost 90 percent discount from the typical $40 test fee. Claudio Varga, company spokesman, said that last year the center provided more than 500 TB tests, saving the community about $18,000.

"Our goal of doubling that to 1,000 tests this year will save hard-working families—teachers, students, school volunteers—over $35,000,  which they can happily use toward books and other expenses,” he said.
