Duffy Boats With Meal Service Ideal For Vacationers & Romantics, Alike

If you’re looking to celebrate a special occasion, share an unforgettable evening with close friends or plan a romantic outing with your loved one, Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort in Newport Beach, Calif. has a novel idea – gourmet boat cruises aboard elegant Duffy boats.  The public may rent the electric watercrafts and tour the Back Bay and nearby environs while enjoying specially prepared offerings from the award-winning Back Bay Bistro.  Each of the 3 picnic packages, which come complete with linen napkins, plates and stainless steel utensils, is paired with fine wines personally selected by Food & Beverage Director Thomas Giulioni.

Among them: 

  • CRUISIN’ – Featuring Brie, fresh fruit, artisan breads and wine, this package is priced at $20 per person.
  • COME SAIL AWAY – A choice of garden salads, gourmet sandwiches, chicken or beef skewers and wine is available for $30 per person.
  • BEYOND THE SEA – A choice of garden salad, fresh seafood pasta, housemade dessert and wine is priced at $40 per person.

 The Duffy boats are available for $50/hour for 2 hours and $75/hour for one hour with the purchase of the gourmet meals (usual cost is $85/hour).  A designated “driver” is required; the Dunes can supply a cruise operator at $25/hour if everyone in the party partakes in the wine. Newport Dunes Resort is a 100-acre non-membership waterfront resort featuring a 386-site state-of-the-art RV park, 450-slip marina and a private waveless beach and playground that has been enjoyed by families since 1958.  Newport Dunes is also is home to 24 mobile cottages that the public may rent.   Visitors may rent kayaks, windsurfers, pedal boats, bicycles, and electric boats.  Newport Dunes Resort is located at 1131 Back Bay Drive, in Newport Beach visit  www.newportdunes.com.
