CHILDREN’S BUREAU CLAMBAKE KICKS OFF SUMMER IN STYLE WHILE RAISING BIG CLAMS FOR AT-RISK CHILDREN

The Children’s Bureau Clambake kicked off the summer charity season in style on June 9 at Oak Creek Golf Club in Irvine.  More than 200 guests were greeted with refreshing signature cocktails and watched in amazement as a sand sculptor created a beautiful rendition of the Children’s Bureau logo.  The evening continued with inspired cuisine of steak and lobster created by the Island Hotel, build your own s’mores for dessert, dancing under the stars to the Dwight Kennedy Band and a rousing live auction.  The night raised an incredible $144,000 for Children’s Bureau’s child abuse prevention programs in Orange County.

Event Co-Chairs Barbara Eidson and Brenda Walters expressed how excited they were to bring back the Clambake event to Orange County.  They, along with the event’s planning committee, hope to carry on its historic success of raising much-needed funds for at-risk families helped by Children’s Bureau.

Presenting Sponsor for the evening was The Crean Foundation while other major sponsors included Capital Group Companies, Disneyland Resort, E. & J. Gallo Winery, Richard Flanagan, Sean Masterson, Pepsi, QBE First, Smart Water, Stella Artois and The Bascom Group.

Children’s Bureau (www.all4kids.org) helps more than 10,000 at-risk children and parents each year throughout Orange County with a variety of programs and services such as in-home counseling, parent education classes, collaborative participation in family resource centers, home visiting health programs and more.
