OC Fair Freebies, Bunco and Some Inspiration

1. It's We Care Wednesday at the Orange County Fair. Anyone who donates one new children's book, or three gently used children books, today will get free admission from noon to 4 p.m. Get more information about the fair here.

2. Today at 9 a.m. a group of volunteers at the Newport Bay Conservancy, who have been working on the cultivation of native plants, will be collecting seeds and maintaining previously planted sites. If you would like to join the volunteer group, contact Matt Yurko at 949-640-0286.

3. The Oasis Senior Center is hosting a Bunco night on Thursday, Aug. 8 from 5 to 8 p.m. New players are encouraged to attend. There is a $10 fee to participate, which includes dinner. Bunco Night will be held in Room 2 at the Oasis Senior Center, 801 Narcissus Ave. in Corona del Mar.
