Newport Launches Mobile Phone App

The app called, myNB, allows residents to pay bills, contact council members, submit service request and find things to do in Newport Beach via their mobile phone.

Most people have a variety of apps on their mobile phones. If you live, work or visit Newport Beach there is one more app you might want to download.

The city of Newport Beach launched its 'myNB' mobile application on Thursday. The myNB app has many features including the option to submit a service request, review other service requests, access the city's calendar of events, find contact information for city council members, read the city's Twitter account and pay bills including parking tickets.

Newport Beach Mayor Keith Curry said the myNB app provides community members with a fast, convenient way to get in touch with the city.

“Not only can they report a problem, like a pot hole, but the new application allows them to share and view comments between themselves, city staff and other my NB users, and to track the resolution of issues reported – all from their mobile devices,” Curry said.

Along with providing community members with a new communication tool, city officials said myNB will also help improve the efficiency of city staff responding to service requests.
