Fun Zone Carousel for Sale on EBay
Bids start at $149,999 for Balboa's iconic merry-go-round.
Looking for something to spruce up the backyard? For $150,000 or so, you can buy the 's famous carousel on eBay.
The 1954 merry-go-round, with its 30 jumping horses, eight stationery ponies and two chariots, is on the block after losing its lease.
"I will miss the Merry Go Round greatly," owner Patrick Moore said in a statement on the Fun Zone website. The Fun Zone's Ferris wheel will stay put, because its lease has another 25 years.

The carousel, which joined the Fun Zone in 1985, will take its final 4-rpm spin on Sept. 30.
"The horses are in great shape, but wouldn't mind a new paint job," the eBay ad says. The item is available for pickup only, no shipping, so you'll need a truck and a few hundred friends to cart it away.

Despite its age, the carousel has a few modern touches, such as an iPod Shuffle music box that plays calliope music.
After the carousel is removed, the , which owns the land, plans to build a preview center for its ExplorOcean project.
